Dr Alzouebi is Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of cancers of the urinary tract. Her areas of interest are in the treatment of prostate, kidney and bladder cancer with systemic anti-cancer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy.
She is an expert in cancer care using the most advanced and up to date treatment modalities.
She is actively involved in clinical trials and research and is the local principal investigator on several national clinical trials.
Dr Alzouebi holds a substantive NHS post as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist, Weston Park Hospital; Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Alzouebi qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2004. She undertook general medical training in the Yorkshire Deanery and achieved MRCP and DTMH qualifications.
She completed the Clinical Oncology Training Programme at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield. She obtained a Distinction in a Master’s Degree in Oncology from the University of Nottingham and her dissertation research was published in a peer reviewed journal.
She successfully obtained Fellow of Royal College of Radiologist (Clinical Oncology) qualification in 2012.

Dr Omar Din qualified from the University of Sheffield in 1997 and completed his postgraduate training in Clinical Oncology at Weston Park Cancer Centre in 2007. Dr Din undertook a Clinical Research Fellowship in Breast Cancer Endocrine Therapy 2008-10, leading to the award of an MD (University of Sheffield).
Dr Din was then appointed substantive Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Clinical Oncology 2010, focussing on Urological and Breast Cancers.
Dr Din has interests in Urological and Breast malignancies, clinical trials and advanced radiotherapy techniques (including SABR – Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy).
He led a research project investigating the effect of adjuvant breast cancer therapy on the musculoskeletal system. An advocate of providing the most up to date treatments for his patients, he has been actively involved in clinical trials and research. He is also the local principal investigator on several national clinical trials.
He currently holds the title of Lead Clinician for Radiotherapy at Weston Park Hospital, where he also provides training and educational supervision.

Professional biography
Dr Winter joined Weston Park Cancer Centre in 2011 as a consultant after completing his specialist training in medical oncology in Sheffield including a doctor of medicine clinical and translational research degree in breast cancer.
He specialises in breast cancer and gestational trophoblastic disease.
He is also the Deputy Director of the Sheffield Trophoblastic Disease Centre, which is based at Weston Park Cancer Centre, and since 2018 has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the European Organisation for the Treatment of Trophoblastic Disease.
He has a keen interest in clinical trials and has published in a number of peer reviewed journals in both breast cancer and gestational trophoblastic disease.
In 2018 he was appointed to Honorary Reader in the Department of Oncology and Metabolism, University of Sheffield.

Professional biography
Dr Baldry was appointed to her NHS consultant post at Weston Park Cancer Centre in 2016. She specialises in the non-surgical treatment of breast and skin cancers. She has a busy NHS practice with extensive experience in all forms of non-surgical treatment for breast cancer including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted treatment and immunotherapy.
She started her undergraduate studies at Oxford, gaining a first class honours degree in physiological sciences with a prize in cell biology. She then completed her medical degree in Edinburgh where she graduated with honours. After junior doctor training she commenced her specialist training in London. She completed the specialist examinations for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists, and won the gold medals for both the first and final parts of the examination.
She is responsible for producing regional radiotherapy guidelines, is a voting member for national guidelines and contributes to national audit. She trains radiographers for advanced practice roles. She is undergraduate tutor for medical students in the oncology department at Weston Park Cancer Centre. She is an examiner for the specialist examinations run by the Royal College of Radiologists and a director of the Sheffield FRCR preparation course run for doctors taking their final specialist examinations. She has recently written a chapter on the systemic treatment of breast cancer for the Oxford Textbook of Surgery (in press).

Mr. Matthias Radatz is a Sheffield-based consultant neurosurgeon with extensive experience, who works at the Thornbury Radiosurgery Center. Mr. Radatz is a pioneer in the use of the Gamma Knife in stereotactic neurosurgery for the treatment of cranial and extra-cranial CNS lesions. He has extensive experience in the treatment of cavernoma, brain and pituitary tumors, glioblastoma, arteriovenous malformation, meningioma, and metastases.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Berlin in 1991, Mr. Radatz underwent neurosurgery-specific training at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and the city’s Krankenhaus Neukölln. Now serving as the head physician at Sheffield’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Mr. Radatz was appointed consultant neurosurgeon in 2002.
His appointment as President of the British Radiosurgery Society and as the radiosurgery representative on a national neuro-oncological and vascular interdisciplinary team, are only two of the high positions he has held in professional organizations serving the neurosurgical community. Peer-reviewed publications have published Mr. Radatz’s considerable academic work, and he is well regarded as an authority in his field. Overall, he is a highly respected practitioner, lecturer, and leader in the field of neurosurgery thanks to his experience and skill.

Mr Jeremy Rowe is a highly respected consultant neurosurgeon with extensive work experience in stereotactic neurosurgery and a specialisation in gamma knife stereotactic radiosurgery. He has particular expertise in treating conditions such as trigeminal neuralgia, cavernoma, pituitary tumours, acoustic neuromas, and various types of brain tumours, including cerebral metastases. Currently, he practices at the Thornbury Radiosurgery Centre located in Sheffield.
Throughout his illustrious medical career, Mr Rowe has achieved significant accomplishments, including completing a medical research council fellowship that allowed him to gain valuable experience with magnetic resonance techniques. This fellowship was completed in Oxford, where he also received his specialist neurosurgical training. During his training, he developed a keen interest in stereotactic neurosurgery, which eventually led him to establish a practice in this field. In 2001, he joined the Sheffield Stereotactic Radiosurgery Department.
Mr. Rowe’s research interests primarily lie in skull-base pathology, oncogenesis, and neuro-oncology. He is an expert in diagnosing and effectively managing cerebral metastatic disease, as well as conditions related to abnormal tumour suppressor genes.

Mr. Ramez Ibrahim is a renowned and highly qualified consultant neurosurgeon who specializes in brain tumours and brain metastasis. He presently works at the BMI Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield, which houses the Thornbury Radiosurgery Centre.
Mr Ibrahim, who earned his medical degree from Cairo University in 1995 after successfully finishing an MBBS program, is an amazing holder of three board certifications in neurosurgery: the European Board of Neurosurgery, the Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship, and the Egyptian Doctorate in Neurosurgery. Mr. Ibrahim would pursue specialized, in-depth neurosurgery training after earning his MBBS. In 2004, the same year he received his MD in neurosurgery from Cairo University, he was then employed as a consultant neurosurgeon in the department of neurosurgery.
When Mr. Ibrahim moved to the UK in 2010, he decided right away to pursue more fellowships. He completed a fellowship in skull base surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and a fellowship in GammaKnife radiosurgery in Sheffield between the years of 2012 and 2013. He had comprehensive training in difficult spinal surgery at the renowned Cardiff and Vale Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery and Trauma Unit, which he finished in 2013. Mr John Yianni

Mr. John Yianni, a highly skilled consultant neurosurgeon from Sheffield, specialises in stereotactic radiosurgery and Gamma Knife surgery, as well as functional neurosurgery and stereotactic radiotherapy. He is an expert in diagnosing and treating neurological illnesses in addition to all parts of neurosurgery. He also has a great deal of experience using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) for sophisticated analysis. Mr. Yianni currently sees patients at the lauded NHS facility at Sheffield Teaching Hospital in addition to his NHS work there.
After joining the Royal College of Surgeons in 1992, Mr. Yianni graduated from University College London in 1996. After completing his basic surgical training in Oxford, he worked as a clinical research fellow in neurosurgery from 2001 to 2004 with a focus on stereotactic functional neurosurgery and received a PhD for his thesis. He gained significant expertise in both framed and frameless stereotaxy as well as this area.
From 2004 to 2009, he was a specialized neurosurgical trainee in neurosurgery, and it was during this period that Mr. Yianni earned his fellowship in the Royal College of Surgeons. He then worked as a fellow in functional neurosurgery and stereotactic radiosurgery until being hired as a consultant in 2011. Mr. Yianni joined Thornbury Radiosurgery Centre, known for its high level of proficiency in stereotactic Gamma knife surgery, with a specialty interest in stereotactic functional neurosurgery and stereotactic Gamma knife radiosurgery.
In addition to practicing neurosurgery, Mr. Yianni is interested in research and frequently publishes his academic work in peer-reviewed journals. He also serves as the Sheffield Clinical Research and Innovation Office’s lead for the neurosurgery theme.
